Join the National Landscapes Team for an evening on Caer Drewyn hillfort to view the spectacular Perseids Meteor Shower.
We will park (if travelling by car) and meet at Canolfan Huw Jones, Corwen, LL21 9RW at 19:30. A warm welcome and introduction will be given by the Ranger team before heading on our way on a short but steep walk up onto Caer Drewyn Hillfort.
We will be joined by Prosiect NOS project officer Dani Robertson who will guide us through the evenings display of the meteor shower which will hopefully be reaching its peak on the 12th August 2024.
You will need to bring the following items;
- Head torch – with red light function if possible. Hopefully we will not need to use the torches as these will interfere with your natural ability to see in the dark.
- Camping mat or thick blanket to sit/lie on.
- Binoculars – we will also have some available on the evening.
- Warm drink – fill a flask with a paned or similar
- Snacks
- Suitable clothing and shoes including waterproofs.
The event is suitable for all ages however, if you have concerns please call our team to find out more about the terrain and scope of the walk.
